Re.: Congress invitation, deadlines, finances
We would like to officially invite you to take part in
the 65th AIPS Congress to be held in Athens-Olympia,
Greece. The previously given dates have been changed
upon the request of several NSJAs due to the Champions'
League football matches and the Football World Cup.
The final dates are April 23-28, 2002.
(Day of arrival: Tuesday, 23rd and departures on Sunday,
Our host, the Greek Sports Journalists' Association
will send out the official invitation and the applica-
tion forms later in January 2002.
- Motions and proposals
Please note that an Extraordinary Congress will be held
in Athens in order to amend the AIPS Statutes. Accor-
ding to the AIPS Statutes only the Member Associations
and the AIPS Executive Committee Members have the right
to make proposals and motions for the Congress.
All motions and proposals must be received by the AIPS
Secretariat in writing in one of the official languages
(English, French or Spanish), three months prior to the
first day of the Congress, that is before 24th January,
2002. If the documents are not received in due time,
they will be considered to be late and void (By-Laws
Please be informed that the deadline of voting for the Best Athle-
tes and Press Facilities and for the AIPS News is December 10, 2002.
- New AIPS cards 2002-2003
We would like to draw the attention of our National Associations,
that the new AIPS cards are ready and waiting for your orders. The
price of the card is unchanged, USD 30/piece.
Please note that when ordering the new cards, send not only the mo-
ney for the cards but also the annual membership fee of USD 100 for
2002. In case you don't order any cards, the deadline for you to
pay the membership fee will be January 31, 2002.
