Statistik fra rsssf

Torsdag d. 18. november 1999

RSSSF Denmark - http://www.rsssf.dk/

Dear List Members,

In case my previous mail was unclear:

>Lars Høgh's current Championship total from 1978 to date stands at 586
>(with his debut late in OB's 1977 Championship season), i.e. some 200+
>additional matches outside of the Domestic Championship must be verified
>in order for Lars Høgh to celebrate a such high number of matches.

By Championship total in this respect, I meant Division One only. Matches
played for OB at Division Two level will of course be included in the
remaining 200+ matches.

---

Following a request by B.T. (a Danish Newspaper) we have published an
overview of players with 300 or more matches at Division One level since
introduction of Professional Soccer early 1978.

The request is based on press coverage of OB's Nestor, former international
goalkeeper (noteworthy the 1986 World Cup Finals) Lars Høgh, who is believed
to be playing his match No. 800 for OB incoming Sunday, November 21.

Although this number might be correct, it must include Domestic and European
Cup matches, Intertoto Cup matches and other more-or-less official matches,
as Lars Høgh's current Championship total from 1978 to date stands at 586
(with his debut late in OB's 1977 Championship season), i.e. some 200+
additional matches outside of the Domestic Championship must be verified in
order for Lars Høgh to celebrate a such high number of matches.

However, it is anyway remarkable that Lars Høgh has always played for OB.

The overview is published here:
http://elbech.server101.com/champion/recdiv1p78.html

Please note that 8 out of 15 listed players still play at Division One
level, 2nd ranked Mogens Krogh (another goalkeeper) of Brøndby IF most
likely on March 26, 2000 even being celebrating his 500th Championship
match.

Below the 300 matches minimum, players like Calle Facius (Vejle BK), Alex
Nielsen (AB), Jens Madsen (Herfølge BK), Jesper Thygesen (Silkeborg IF), and
Henrik Rasmussen (AaB) have all passed 250 matches and still counting ... In
addition to this list, coach-player John Jensen (Herfølge BK) has passed 275
matches and can more-or-less decide for himself whether he wants to pass the
next mark of 300 matches. :)

Please note that 2 more goalkeepers are listed: Troels Rasmussen and Peter
Kjær.

Best regards,
Søren
