European Athletics Championships - media accreditation
19th European Athletics Championships
Gothenburg, Sweden, 7-13 August 2006
The 2006 European Athletics Championships (7-13 August, Gothenburg/SWE) are 200 days away and the EAA is launching the media online accreditation procedure for written press and photographers. The deadline for media accreditation applications is 31 March 2006.
In consultation with AIPS and the Local Organising Committee in Gothenburg, the EAA has fixed the country quotas for written press and photographers.
Each EAA Member Federation has been sent a number of unique usernames and passwords for the media online accreditation system according to the country quotas and has been requested to distribute these to media in consultation with the national association of sports’ journalists.
In order to request media accreditation for the European Athletics Championships, European media should contact the national athletics federation in their country. Media from outside Europe or representing international news agencies (AFP, AP, Reuters) should contact EAA Communication Manager Emily Lewis on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that each username and password can be used for only one application. You will be sent details of the link to the media online accreditation form and other useful information with the username and password.
You can also book accommodation in the online accreditation system. Details of the media hotels can be found in the Media section of www.goteborg2006.com - http://www.goteborg.com/templates/Page.aspx?id=9800.
Any broadcast media who have not already requested accreditation should contact email@example.com.
Telecommunications facilities can be booked directly with the LOC’s telecommunications partner Telia at http://www.telia.se/ech2006. Full details of the services available and the rate card can be found on this website.
Any media organisations who require office space in the Media Centre in Gothenburg should contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss their requirements.
Media representatives working for websites will be granted accreditation on the understanding that they may only provide editorial coverage (written material/photographs) of the Championships and under no circumstances any kind of moving images, video or audio footage without prior written permission.
