Soccer-Journalist lays complaint against Anelka
A journalist with French sports daily L'Equipe on Friday lodged a complaint with police alleging he had been assaulted by Paris St Germain striker Nicolas Anelka.
Sebastien Tarrago laid a complaint at the Saint-Germain-en-
Laye police station after being involved in a scuffle with
Anelka at the club's training centre outside Paris on Friday
Witnesses said Tarrago approached Anelka, who generally
refuses to speak to journalists, after a training session at the
Camp des Loges and the pair became involved in a dispute.
Tarrago alleges he was slapped by Anelka - and told police
he had several eye-witnesses to back up his case.
The journalist regularly covers PSG for L'Equipe, France's
leading sports newspaper.
L'Equipe's website quoted PSG president Laurent Perpere as
saying he "deplored" the incident and had asked coach Luis
Fernandez for more details.
French international Anelka, formerly with Arsenal and Real
Madrid, rejoined PSG at the start of this season.
